ABLE2 Grow – All About Microboards: Support & Estate Planning for Loved Ones Living with a Disability

25 Jan, 2024

Join ABLE2 and guest speaker, Saquiba Rahman from PooranLaw, a Toronto-based law firm, for a GROW Series webinar on Microboards, a unique way for caregivers to support and plan for loved ones living with a disability.

By definition, a Microboard is a small group of family and friends (a minimum of 5) who join with a person who has a disability to create a non-profit organization. A Microboard is focused on the person’s self-determination, empowerment, and supports planning using a person-directed approach. Join this virtual session led by PooranLaw to receive an overview of how Microboards can be created to support you and your loved one with a disability. This lawyer-led session will provide information on the benefits, how they work, who can set one up, and the legal framework required to start and sustain your Microboard.
