Friendly Callers Needed
Volunteers are needed for Connect Friendly Callers, a pilot project aiming to reduce social isolation for seniors living with disabilities during the pandemic. The Connect project matches a senior with a volunteer, for a virtual social visit using the senior’s preferred platform (phone, FaceTime, Zoom WhatsApp etc.).
If you are interested in sharing a few minutes of your time with an isolated senior, please connect with us by email at volunteer@able2.org or by phone at 613-761-9522.

Disability in the Workplace Workshop Facilitators
We have speaking opportunities for legal professionals (including lawyers, paralegals and mediators) with expertise in disability in the workplace.
By volunteering with Reach’s Educational Program, you will have the opportunity to deliver timely and much-needed information related to law and disability based on your area of expertise. Reach’s educational programs are presented virtually or in-person to a wide audience including people with disabilities and their family members, caregivers, front-line workers, legal professionals, students, and Government or Corporate groups.
Once Reach’s team of legal student volunteers has determined that a referral to a legal professional on our Roster is the best course of action for a client, we take steps to ensure the referral is well-suited to your area of expertise. A summary of the matter is provided for your review. If you have the capacity to accept the referral, Reach will send your information to the client and ask that they contact you directly. If you are interested, please connect with us by email at volunteer@Able2.orgor by phone at 613-761-9522.
Student Legal Volunteers
Reach’s team of legal student volunteers handles all client referral requests submitted online or via an intake call. They determine that a referral to a legal professional on our Roster is the best course of action for a client. They also ensure the referral is well suited to the legal professional’s area of expertise and they provide a summary of the matter. They also work with the legal professionals to ensure they have the capacity to accept the referral and then ask the client to connect directly with the legal professional.
If you are interested, please connect with us by email at volunteer@Able2.org or by phone at 613-761-9522.
